Leaking Insulin Cartridges Recalled by Tandem Diabetes
Tandem Diabetes Care®, Inc announced a recall this month of their insulin cartridges that are used with the t:slim® Insulin Pump. During an internal product testing the company determined the cartridges may be at risk of leaking.
According to Tandem if a customer/patient is delivered too much or too little insulin this problem can lead to a serious adverse event. The 4,746 cartridges that were shipped on or after December 17, 2013 have a label that includes the lot number. Check that label with the below lot numbers and do not use those cartridges.

Tandem has expressed that the error was found internally and the issue has since been corrected. They are contacting customers and distributors to replace the affected lots.
