Lawsuit Deadline: ONE WEEK To File a Fungal Meningitis Claim. 

A $100 million fund has been set up to compensate victims of the fungal meningitis outbreak, but victims and their families have only until January 15, 2014 in which to file a claim.

The New England Compounding Center (also called NECC), which is the compounding pharmacy linked to the meningitis, entered into an agreement as part of its bankruptcy to create the $100 million fund. The fund will be used to pay victims of the fungus-tainted steroid injection.

JANUARY 15, 2014 is the deadline to file fungal meningitis claims against NECC. Victims who do not file a claim before that date may lose the chance to be compensated.
